Gmail Migration

Well, I finally took the plunge and migrated all of my Outlook messages on the home PC to Gmail. I did this for several reasons. First, after purchasing the iPhone, I discovered that it could sync with Gmail's IMAP server, which meant that whatever I sent from the iPhone would appear as "sent" from the Gmail website, as well as the IMAP folders in Outlook on the PC. The same holds true for incoming mail as well. So the decision was made to go with Gmail as my email of choice, and I changed over from Optimum Online. The ridiculous amount of space available on the Gmail servers meant that I could then copy every email message that I have (over 6,000 spanning 11 years) to the Gmail server, making all of my email available to me wherever I am. So that was a no-brainer. It just took about an hour to copy every message. Now it's done, and I can easily search all of the messages. I really like the Gmail.
